Are you looking for a Fishing Holiday in Devon? South Reed Farmhouse is set in 33 acres of Devon's most attractive farmland with magnificent panoramic views of Dartmoor. The house dates back to the 15th Century and is full of olde world charm and character creating an atmosphere of great relaxation.

The cottages were created from original farm buildings and give a real Devon feel to your stay. The fishing is for guests only no day tickets are allowed. South Reed Farm are famed for the quality of it's hard fighting fish. Carp to 27lb, Tench, Bream, Roach and Rudd, take a look at the 4lb plus Perch that have been caught this year.

There is a picnic and BBQ area where you can prepare your breakfast/lunch as you fish with those wonderful views of Dartmoor in the background, the owners live on site and during the warmer summer months host an evening BBQ where all the guests get together to swap fishing yarns. The lakes are easily accessible but for those who require it an ATV can ferry you and your fishing gear to the lakeside.

In addition to fishing South Reed Farm offer the opportunity to all our residents to experience the thrill of Falconry with the farms very own Harris Hawks. Join in with a hawk walk around the farm fly your own hawk to your glove , watch the hawks as they follow on when you get the chance to appreciate their natural hunting instincts. A South Reed Farm Hawk walk has become the highlight of many a stay.

South Reed Farm is one of the very few Dog friendly fishing venues you and your dog can enjoy fantastic walking both on the farm where a field is always available to run dogs off the lead and nearby high Dartmoor - a dog walkers paradise. A day kennel is available if you need to go out for the day and you need to leave the dog behind.,/

If you are a horse rider South Reed Farm has stabling and some fantastic hacking both from the farm and a 10 minute box to Dartmoor.

There are many pubs and restaurants in the area catering for all tastes and pockets and we are only 30 minutes from some of the best beaches in Devon many of them dog friendly.
